Register your can fleet and print QR labels

Tell the app about every can you own, and print scannable labels so the steel and the records always match.

  1. Add every can you own

Open Can fleet and create a record for each can: size, type, and the number painted on the side. A can the app does not know about cannot be rented online, put on a truck, or measured. Ten minutes of typing here is what makes everything else automatic.

  2. Understand the four statuses

Every can is always in one of four places: in the yard, on a site, on a truck, or in repair. Deliveries, swaps, and pickups move cans between those on their own as drivers finish trips. You never update a can's location by hand.

  3. Print the QR labels

From Can fleet, open the label sheet and print a label for each can. Each label carries a QR code, which is just a square barcode a phone camera can scan. Stick them somewhere the hook and the cable cannot scrape them off.

  4. Let the label carry the identity

When a driver scans the label, the app knows exactly which can moved. The can in the records is the can that actually moved on the site, not a number someone typed from memory.

  5. Mark repairs

Doors, cables, and rails take a beating. Flip a can to in repair and it drops out of availability until it is back in service.
