Run delivery day from the dispatch board
Morning board review, trips onto trucks, route order, and same-day orders.
Review the board at open
Dispatch shows every trip for the day: deliveries, swaps, pickups, relocations. Unassigned trips sit on the left where they nag you.
Assign trips to trucks
Drag a trip onto a truck. Assignments respect each truck's max can size, so a 40 yard delivery cannot land on a truck that cannot haul it.
Optimize the route
Open the Route Builder from the dispatch board and hit Optimize; each truck's stops reorder themselves to cut drive time. You can still drag any stop up or down by hand, because the software does not know the customer at stop three has to leave by noon. You do.
Slot in same-day orders
A same-day delivery appends to the end of the truck's run. Drag it into place, or re-run Optimize on the Route Builder to reorder the day. The driver sees the new stop in order.
Watch status flow in
En route, delivered, dumped, done. As drivers finish trips, the rental updates itself. Nobody retypes anything at five o'clock.
