Book a swap from the rental
Open the rental in Rentals and add a swap trip: drop an empty can, haul the full one. The rental keeps every trip in order, so you always know which can is where.
Extend when they ask
Customer wants the can longer? Extend the rental in two taps. Days past the included period bill at your extra-day rate either way; the extension just makes sure the customer knows what to expect.
Watch the flags
Rentals flags cans past their included days and pickups gone overdue. Check the flags each morning. Every flagged can is either a phone call or a charge.
Let the extra days bill themselves
An overage day is any day the can sits past what the base price included. Those charges add themselves up from your rate sheet; you never calculate anything. You just decide whether to charge or waive, and that decision is logged.
Dry runs are billable
A dry run means the truck drove out and could not do the job: a blocked can, a locked gate, a load over the rails. Log it and the trip fee lands on the order. The photo the driver took is the reason it sticks.
